My daughter and I saw the IMAX 3d version last evening. When the movie was over, she read the critics' reviews on RT. We were absolutely slack jawed at the comments posted by these "professional" critics. This movie is awesome! Who cares if there wasn't more humor? This is a serious take on Superman as he would be perceived by our world. An alien with super powers? Of course he would be feared. And Clark's mixed emotions about his powers as he grew up were right on. This is just the Superman we need in order to bring the DC universe to life in a believable way, instead of the fantasy (and awful) comedy of past Superman movies. Lets move on to the other DC heroes now. As a child I enjoyed both DC AND Marvel comics. I can now look forward to a DC movie world in addition to the mostly excellent Marvel one!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, awesome special effects
Yes, I recommend this movie.
