This film is exactly what it is intended to be: a raw, behind-the-scenes view of the incomparable musical and creative genius that was Michael Jackson. Most importantly, the film shows MJ in a rare unguarded state--no image-upholding, no masking his true self. Everyone should see this movie...but MJ fans beware--you'll need tissues, because the film drives home what an incredible WASTE and TRAGEDY this gentle, amazing man's death was. I was lucky enough to be at MJ's memorial at the Staples Center in July, and this film came close to making me cry just as hard as that experience did. WONDERFUL, tasteful film.
