If parting the red sea in the Ten Commandments was an iconic movie moment, then 2012 is a quantum leap in movie magic for all-time. For some, the disaster sequences will make you think what you'd do at that very moment; after the movie you might have that same conversation with your friend(s)/wife and or family. While Danny Glover brings a level of moral authority to his character, Chiwetel Ejiofer and Oliver Platt morality play forces one to think whom they would side with in trying to save the human race. Additionally, Woody Harrelson adds a level of needed quirkiness. The russian characters are over the top sterotypes; John Cusack performance could have fallen in the ocean like the west coast.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
