I believe the title of this review says it all. Although Bale has taken the rains of best Batman ever, he was completely out shined by his co-stars performances. Not just the obvious one in Heath Ledger but also with Aaron Eckhart's, and Gary Oldman's approaches to this Batman film exceeds all expectations past, present, and (hopefully) future for the entire Batman franchise. Ledger's spine tingling, hair-raising, and flat out disturbing performance made you forget that there was even a super hero in this movie. Eckhart's performance as Harvey Dent was only enhanced after he suffered his loss (not going to spoil anything). Bale performed to the standards we as an audience expected and hoped for, but Nolan focused this film on the "love triangle" of Batman, Dent, and Joker and therefor delivered a psychosis roller coaster of Dent losing his mind, Wayne struggling to do the right thing, and The Joker just wanting to kill and drive people insane. As an avid Batman Fan i feel I have a biased opinion when i say this is the best film in ten years. You will not be dissappointed when you buy a ticket for this movie. Ledger went out on the highest note with this role and I would be thoroughly shocked and appaled if he did not recieve, at least, an Oscar nomination
Yes, I recommend this movie.
