A longer TV show...

My daughter asked, not begged, to see this as she is over the "Hannah Montana" phase. So I took her. Although I like the tv show and will sit and watch it with my daughter, I was squirming for most of the movie. I feel bad for Mitchell Musso and Moises Arias as they were in the beginning but were not seen again until the credits.
I think it would have been more interesting if this was Disney's and Miley's goodbye to the character. It would have sent a message to all the little girls watching Miley post inappropriate pictures of herself on the internet and posing for Vanity Fair that one has to move on in life. It was entertaining, but I could have waited for DVD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Many Cringeworthy moments add to a good story...

The casting was excellent as each actor/actress made the characters their own. I grew up like Paul Rudd's character and if it wasn't for my athletic ability, I would have been in the same boat. So although I cringed at some parts, I did so because I could identify with the truthfulness of the scenes. Good movie for any young man that , for whatever reason, doesn't know how to define his relationships with other men.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Extremely Entertaining, but the book is better

Zack Snyder did a fantastic job recreating the story for the screen. Everything was detailed; the cemetery scene was just like the book. However, I thought the book was heavier and more brooding. The book gives you a sense that it's building towards something so great and fantastic and horrible and terrible. The movie was like a good popcorn flick. Although I agree with Alan Moore that the book is almost unfilmable, the movie was at least entertaining. I'll see it many times just for the fight scenes. One last thing: Jackie Earle Haley is the only Rorschach there ever will be and I hope no one ever tries to recreate his performance. He should get some Oscar recognition.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A tough little girl

When I saw the first trailer, I was intrigued. As the release date approached, I got more and more excited. The strange thing about it all was that my ten year old daughter was ambivalent about reading the book or seeing the movie. Then we saw it. I was blown away as I thought I would be. Great action sequences and great character development made this not just a "kids movie." But the barometer I used to determine if this was a great movie was my daughter's declaration that this was her favorite movie of all time and that she wanted to see it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not great, but not bad

Took my daughter to see it. She thought it was "cheesy," but entertaining. I thought the same. There were some choppy plot points, but the movie was cute. Any set of best girlfriends should see it together.

I saw this with my daughter. She liked it; I liked it. It was not a blockbuster, but it was an entertaining popcorn movie, which is exactly what they were aiming for. I read on some of the movie websites that this was originally an R, but edited to PG-13 to cash in a little bit more. As I told my daughter, I think the reviews would have been better if they had made it as an R rating because there was a lot more they could have done with the dialogue and back story. Also, the movie's a hour and a half. How serious can you take a movie if it only runs along as a childrens' movie? I'm nitpicking because bottom line, I would recommend it. The special effects were awesome. For all you parents out there, make sure your kid is at least ten. There are some references, IMO, that little ones should not be exposed to. If you think your little ones are ready for it, be prepared to talk about it and answer some questions. Enjoy.

Good movie. I saw it with my daughter. She had an idea of what Kit and her family were facing because she watches today's news. I was especially happy to see the character look at the positives in each situation. I'm a pessimist and do not want to pass that on my daughter. It was good for my daughter to see a movie that represents the opposite of what she's exposed to on a daily basis. Will buy it when it comes to DVD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A Great Summer Movie, but...

My daughter and I enjoyed the movie, but it was not as good as the first or third Indiana Jones movies due to the fact that he was fighting a universal evil along with looking for a lost treasure. This movie was more along the lines of the second movie where Indiana was looking for some lost treasure, it just wasn't as dark as the second one. The main appeal of the first and third movies was that he was looking for something that was bigger in significance than what he thought. That was definitely missing from this episode. This may not be a ringing endorsement, but I would still see it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Subtlely funny, but worth every penny of admission

I thought it was a better story about breaking up and starting over than what has been presented previously. I think many people were expecting it to be laugh out loud funny because of Judd Apatow's previous comedic efforts. But I'm noticing that his writers' stories are getting tighter and they're relying less on outrageous, over-the-top laughs and more on good storytelling. They just happen to be funny.
If you've ever been through a bad break-up or still recovering from one, this movie will give you perspective on not only your former partner's behavior but your own as well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
