I think that the main problem with Twilight is that if you haven't read the book the romance between Edward and Bella seems competely rushed and makes both of them seem quite irrational for their love, in all the wrong ways. However, if you have read the book and are a fan of Stephenie Meyer's saga you will find the movie to be true to the text and the characters to be well acted. Obviously the funds for this particular film were not extensive and it shows in the special effects and other aspects of production, but hopefully with the next film they will have a bigger budget and be able to accomplish more of what they seem to have wanted.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
