Often movies like this can be just a bunch of throwaway one liners wrapped in fancy special effects, but this film was nothing like that at all. The acting was incredibly engaging and did not feel 'cartoonish' execpt in one or two extremely brief instances. The scenes were meaningful and the characters were a lot deeper than you would expect in a film like this. This is a movie you will want to see again and again, and not just for the special effects. 3D was great overall, though there were moments where it actually hurt more than it helped. But it didn't stop this from being one of the best action films I have ever seen, and I've seen just about all of them.
