Batman - The Dark Knight Rises is a fantastic conclusion to the trilogy that teaches today's youth what life would be like if the 99% crowd took control of a major city. No law, no justice, no fairness, and being rich is a crime -- all you have to do to be part of the ruling class is except allegiance to a tyrannical dictator who's going to blow everyone up anyway!! The Christian themes of redemption, leaps of faith, rising up from Hades, protecting the weak, evil triumphing when good men do nothing, and evil getting the snot kicked out of them for all the badness they bring to Gotham. This Batman is by far the best in the series and Christopher Nolan weaves together a plot that connects all three movies while still keeping you on the edge of your seat. Bane is the ultimate liberal anarchist juxtaposed to Batman, the ultimate "hero of last resort" who is the only one who can save the day. This movie should get an Oscar and -- although I am surprised to say this -- was actually BETTER than The Avengers! The Avengers was fun, but Batman makes you think... and I like to go to movies that work complexity into the story and still make it good! I cannot wait to see Batman The Dark Knight Rises again! Nuff said! ;)

A Western WITH Aliens

This was a great western with all the grit of a John Wayne film with none of the campy cheap shots at the genre itself. It actually took itself seriously and some intense dramatic scenes to go with all the action... oh, and there were Aliens too... really scary ones! In the end, the movie's true heart is its ability to show that even in the 1870's we could put aside our differences to kick some E.T. backside... or whatever that is above their legs!! Go see this movie!
