A Single Man is a tremendously impressive debut film by Tom Ford, otherwise known as a fashion designer. He will be known as much as a filmmaker in the future if he so chooses. This is a wonderful, beautiful, sensitively made film with a performance by Colin Firth that really allows his talent to shine - not his usual role, by any means. I hope he wins an Oscar. All of the supporting cast add to the film's success, as well.

A delightful, charming movie appropriate for a wide range of ages - a romantic comedy in the best sense of the words. The two stars truly lit up the screen and made you want to see more of them. Bittersweet and wonderful.

My husband and I both really enjoyed Joaquin Phoenix's movie Two Lovers. Phoenix's performance was amazing, as always, as a troubled young man. The female leads were also quite strong. The movie was not as good as its stars but definitely worth seeing though clearly painful to watch.
