Depressingly Unforgettable

I'm not usually a big fan of depressing movies, but this one was quite well done. Will Smith has become this decade's Tom Hanks and is now probably my favorite actor. He does it all. I knew what he was going to do at the end, but how he did it was quite shocking. My fiance was sobbing horribly and the place was quiet as a funeral parlor when the credits rolled (with no music, just credits). I saw no publicity for this movie and it didn't do well at the box office, probably due to the subject matter. We just went to see it cause Smith was in it, so it had to be good. He gets whatever script he wants. Not an easy movie to watch, and I probably won't watch it when it comes to TV, but I would recommend for a one timer.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Wanted To Like It

I was looking forward to this movie ever since the previews came out and was quite dissapointed. The acting was great (except for Rosie Perez who just sucks), and Danny McBride was especially good, but they had no script. I don't know, but something was missing. Not funny. Very little laughter in the theatre also. My recommendation for heavy laughter so far this year is Step Brothers.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Better Than Iron Man

If you want to compare this summer's comic hero movies, I'll take this one over Iron Man. Actually, I think it's my favorite comic movie ever. Ledger is great, but I don't think Gyllenhal is "hot" enough to be Bale's leading lady. I woulda picked Kate Beckinsdale to be the love interest.
The cinematography in this movie was exceptional with some cool overhead shots of Tokyo and Gotham.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Ferrells Best

This is Ferrells best movie. John C. is also brilliant. Blows Anchorman off the map. Only problem was, you couldn't hear half the movie cause everyone in the theatre was laughing so hard. I haven't seen a comedy that made me laugh like this since Dumb and Dumber. Can't wait till it comes out on DVD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Was Expecting Bad, And Got Good!

This is the first chick flick I've ever had to take my fiance to in the 1 1/2 years we've been together. I was dreading it, but I promised her I'd take her ever since the previews started coming out. The first thing I noticed was the guy to girl ratio in the theatre. 10 to 1. Even some guy walking up to his seat saw me and said, "at least there's another guy in here". The second thing I noticed was all the sniffling and crying (including fiance) during the movie. I wanted to bust out laughing. The funniest thing was this scene where Big remodels what's her face's closet for her and when he revealed it to her, the entire theatre (girls that is) let out a giant gasp in unison which made me chuckle. As for the movie, I was thoroughly entertained. Very well written and shot and even though i vaguely knew who the 4 chicks were, and could care less what happened with them at the start of the movie, I was routing for them all to live happily ever after, which I got. My only complaint was that it ran 20 minutes too long, but I guess they had to sew everything up at the end. Only thing is, my fiance will want to stop on whatever channel it's on, once it comes out on TV, every single time. She loved it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
