It's nice to get away from all those action movies with stupid villains and 20 minute chase scenes. This movie was a nice break. Having seen 'Moulin Rouge!' quite a few times, I expected this film to be of the same caliber, but was proven wrong. 'Australia' has it all: beautiful scenery, wonderful acting, romance, humor, and suspense with a little history thrown in. While Nicole Kidman may have seemed boring to some, her character was meant to be a little stuffy. Portraying someone from the English upper class, I think she was wonderful. David Wenham was fantastic...I hated him. ;) Hugh Jackman was great, as always. Like epic tales? See this one!
