Not your dad's Trek

I was never really a fan of TOS Trek but liked the others enough to be a "fan." Totally loved this new Trek. It was fun and exciting! A solid story and real, easy, true dialogue. Nothing campy here! We'll be seeing this one again!

Elementary dialogue and a watered down plot are the 2 biggest blunders of this film. I've been an X-Men fan for 15 years, Victor Creed being my main man. I was excited to see Liev as Vic, he totally pulled the strong personality off and was the highlight of the film. There were some missed opportunities to make the characters more like they should have been...like Wade and Gambit. Oh well. Maybe if they get spin offs the next set of writers/directors will do it right. Sorry Hugh, you dropped the ball on this one.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
