best movie all summer

This summer I have seen sex and the city 2, toy story three, twilight, eat pray love (in theatres). Of course, twilight was stupid and eat pray love sucked. So I wasn't expecting much from this. It turned out not so bad. It was hilarious and cute and sentimental. The only thing is that two blue eyed people would not end up w/a brown eyed kid. But whatever. Also, Jeff Goldblum was amazing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Boring, pretentious

I have never read the book, but I have a feeling it is much better than the movie. The movie was choppy and it seemed like it left a ton of important details out. Also had long mundane scenes. I also had a hard time relating because when I feel I've lost myself, I won't be able to pause my life and travel the world. I left disappointed, feeling this movie was very hyped up.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Good, but not as good as the first one

I love the tv series and the first movie. This movie was really good, but not quite as good as the first one. It was definitely different from the series, but what were the writers going to do? It made the movie fun and exotic to have it based in Abu Dhabi. I felt like this movie wasn't as much of an emotional roller coaster like the first one, which made the first one more like the series and seemingly more entertaining. However this movie still had the quirky humor of the series and it was nice, fun and light. I've already seen this one twice in theaters and can't wait for the dvd.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Best movie I've seen all summer

After Orphan, which was disappointing, Public Enemies, equally diappointing, and a few cute (Julie and Julia, The Time Traveler's Wife) but not great movies, this is a relief. It was out there, and really I was expecting much more gore. I thought this was such a cool, unbelievable story line. It made my whole summer.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I usually don't like scary movies, but I recently liked a few, so this looked fun. But really, it was just all too much for me. I actually think they should have more of a warning than the 'some sexuality' they offer. It's definitely more than some and kind of unncecessary to the plot anyway. Also, there was a little too much gore, usually I'm ok with gore. It was a little far-fetched obviously, but i just don't get how the little 'girl' got out the mental hospital where she was in a straight-jacket...whatever. Don't get me wrong, it was entertaining and I screamed a couple times. I only saw this because there wasn't much of a choice at the movie theater today. I was pretty disappointed
