Well done but a tad too long!

I have seen most of the Batman movies more because my family is into them and I usually go along. I loved Jack Nicholson as the joker because nobody can play a psycho like Jack. But Christian Bale just does it for me as Batman. Batman Begins was great to me because it told a good story and featured Bruce Wayne as a rich playboy rogue so I could appreciate that. Plus Christian Bale's Batman kicks butt - I need the action because the story line to me is well, we all know it all too well. Ledger as the joker was surprisingly well-done. Overall, The Dark Knight was entertaining, exciting to watch, and the actors did their jobs well. It got a bit too long towards the end however - like, ok, when are going to wrap this up already - but it had a few little unexpected surprises as well. I am not a comic book hero fan per se, so for me to give it a 4 is saying something. (By the way, Batman Begins would get a 5 and Batman Returns would get a 3.5 from me).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
