This movie stayed very close to the book which I have read four times. The portrayal of Hank Reardon and Dagney Taggart were right on. I saw it on opening weekend and I am going again this weekend. Yes, its that good!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

My husband and I are already fans of Bill and Glenn. We watch their shows on Fox everyday. We really enjoyed the show. They were both funny and engaging. It was great to see the diversity in the audience - young and old, black, white, hispanic. Very courteous people, not like the normal theater crowd. I never got the back of my seat kicked once. However, the theater could have shown us some previews or something during the 20 minute intermission.
I love end of the world as you know it movies, so this one was perfect. Great special effects. I loved the Bible references in the movie like naming the "ships" Arks. I did notice that they showed destruction of every major religious icons except Islamic. All in all my husband and I enjoyed the movie. It was a nice night out for us.
One of the best movies I've ever seen. Action packed from start to finish. Great special effects. Was the extra money for the IMAX version worth it? I don't think so. I will see the movie again with the regular showing at half price and see.
As a huge x-files fan I was anxiously awaiting this movie, maybe my expectations were too high. To me this was more like a CSI than an x-file. Infact there was no x-file at all. I was hoping that they would explore what had happened to Mulder and Scully's son, William. All in all I hope the movie does well so they make another one or restart the series. No matter what it was awesome to see Mulder and Scully together again.
