If we could all maintain our innocence and lack of prejudice through the eyes of a child, what a better place the world would be. I agree this movie is not for small children, but it should be seen my mature teens. Let us never forget the atrocities lest they be repeated. Great casting for maximum effect but Bruno would have been better as a blonde.......(dye).
James Bond is.........James Bond. Agree it's not as action packed and intriguing as Casino Royale but it was interesting to watch and Daniel Craig is the best Bond. A bit more realistic than previous Bonds and a lot more believable-except those extraordinary chase and fight scenes. Anyone other than Bond would be dead. Go see it; you won't be disappointed!
Still wondering when Disney is going to come up to par. "Bolt" was pretty uneventlful. Opening day and the theater was almost empty. Started out with about 12 people; by the time it was over, there were 5 people left. Even the kids' reactions were humdrum.
Madagascar 2 is an ok movie, nothing to get excited about. A few faints chuckles; even the kids weren't that excited about this one. When are we going to get some high-caliber animated classics like "Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast"? What has been made in recent years is mediocre to say the least!!
Riveting movie that proves again what a brilliant artist Clint Eastwood really is. Acting was top-notch for the most part. Definitely a movie for mature adults, NOT for children or young teenagers.
Not as good as "Notebook" but it was entertaining nonetheless. The romantic scenes were sweet but not very passionate. Adrienne's wedding ring stuck out like a sore, inappropriate thumb in several scenes. Gere and Lane are not as young as they used to be, but neither is anyone. Aging is a normal, expected process; the alternative is.... death. People fall in love at all ages of life, with or without wrinkles & gray hair. Worth seeing but don't expect everyone to cry their eyes out. To me, it was a mild tearjerker, nothing overwhelming.
THE #1 movie to see. I thought we COULDN'T have one better than "The Dark Knight" this year, but I was mistaken. Take a friend or your spouse...........one of the #1 movies of all times! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll want to see it again and again. Seeing this should be a prerequisite to getting marriage or contemplating divorce!
This movie accurately portrays that there is prejudice against more than one race, perpetrated by more than one race. The actors did a good job making the story believable.
Although this movie was pretty much predictable throughout, it had a nice, clean story that school-age children through adults should enjoy. Ice Cube did a great job as the shabby uncle-turned-hero to his niece. Good lessons intertwined in the story.
