This movie did live up to all of the pre-release hype. It is truly dark. The untimely passing of Heath Ledger added to the dark macabre of the film. It is great! Don't wait until it comes out on DVD--go see in a theater!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I liked the movie, however I found it to be a little politcal. The depiction of "fat and lazy" users of earth was a little disturbing. The towering piles of garbage left me wondering when Greenpeace was going to be displayed. My kids enjoyed it, though.
