About what you'd expect

Exactly what you'd expect from the title... Entertaining at time, painful at times, funny at times, but overall a decent way to spend a couple of hours on one of the hottest and muggy-est days of the year in the DC area.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

If you love the Grateful Dead, it's a must see!

Bottom line, if you're a fan, you should see it. Brilliant footage and interesting interviews.
The old school animation/art is a little bit out there if you're not high as a monkey on something, but it's a small price to pay for such clean footage and unfiltered access to behind the scenes.
The new interview footage with Jerry discussing why he loves music and would do what he does for free was refreshing. His commentary on "flow" was interesting and makes a lot of sense.
I particularly enjoyed his candid admission about having to learn to not let his judgement get in the way of the collective performances of the band. He readily admitted that when he often thought they were "off", he come back and listen to the tapes later and be shocked that his gut feeling was way off. Just a very honest artist and funny man.
My fiancee who is not a big GD fan was even appreciative of the film. (I'm still working on getting her back into the music)
Anyhow, if you're a fan, do yourself a favor and see the film.
Cheers!

Good for a laugh or two

Relatively entertaining but nothing brilliant. Standard romantic comedy with life lesson cooked in. Russell Brand and Helen Mirren were notable, Jennifer Garner not so much... Greta Gerwig was forgettable and Nick Nolte made me think about 48 hours but that was about it. Overall, a decent investment in a $11 movie escape.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Pretty good stuff

I went in the movie with no expectations, and that's why I think I liked it.
As a huge fan of Raiders of the Lost Arc, and to a lesser extent the Last Crusade, I knew it wasn't going to be anywhere as good as those.
However, I was able to convince myself not to get too hyped up, and that was the key.
It's certainly worth the $10 or whatever....
I also enjoyed the re-entry of the Marion character...
The Cate Blanchett character does nice work as well.
All in all, pretty entertaining stuff.
Just come into it with no expectations and get ready for the old "suspension of disbelief" and you'll enjoy yourself.
Cheers!

Worth the price of admission, and then some...

Entertaining for sure.
Kevin Spacey is similar to his crafty-ness as in Usual Suspects.
The other actors and actresses, while less well known, do some nice work.
Kate Bosworth did not seem like the right actress for her particular role, but she's not too hard on the eyes...
Yes, I recommend this movie.
