This movie could be referred to as "ok" for special effects, but lacked the intrigue necessary to keep my son and I captivated. If I had run out of $11.00 popcorn, I wouldn't have any any problems getting up to get more. Let alone spending the money to get it. The submission below was a completely accurate assessment of the talent in this movie. Brendan Fraser had his usual moments of comedic expressions that one would expect, but Jet Li was way underutilized for his martial arts prowess. The storyline was as predictable as it was rushed. "The yak yacked"...? Disappointing. This might be a good time to stop the "MUMMY".
The movie was pretty transparent, but seemed to drag in the way of getting to the point. It had its interesting spots for myself, being a man who was posed with the offer of seeing this...or the other over the top female high grossing picture of the weekend. Due to a lack of crowd control, I chose this one. It had a (cute) storyline that was predictable from beginning to end. The heartfelt wishes from the best friends (men) and girl talk that went on forever between them (still men). Geesh... I gauge a movie by the value of the overpriced concessions in proportion to the movie I am seeing. Too much money for snacks to see this one for sure! Are there any more Jason Bourne movies coming out?
