I am not a Trekkie but... I am a HUGE Sci-fi nut. With that said, I thought the movie stayed faithful to its origins while giving it a hipper twist. The cast was great! Karl Urban hit the nail right in the head for Bones. Koe saldana gave Uhura a fresh look while opening up to allow us to see a little of her world. However the jury is still out on the love relationship between Uhura and Spock.Not sure how I feel about that. Loved Scottie and Spock and of course Pines' redention of Kirk gave more meat to why Shatner's character of Kirk was portrayed the way it was in the 1960's. Action packed, good laughs and full of nods to the past! I'm waiting for the next one!
