Poignant. Engrossing. Hilarious. One of the best roles I've seen Phillip Seymour Hoffman in.

Excellent movie! Well worth the extra money to see it in IMAX.
As much as my 3-year old granddaughter loves the book, I will NOT take her to see this movie. I would not recommend it for any kid younger than 8 or 9. It's dark and complex and there's a bit of violence.
Other than that, one of Spike Jonze's best efforts.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I really wasn't expecting a lot after the last several Star Trek movies. I'd grown up with the original series and it seemed like they were trying to milk a bunch of geezers. However, I'm a fan of Zachary Quinto, so I thought I'd give it a try.
Not only was the cgi well-integrated and in keeping with the story, what a story! Amazing series of plot twists.They've made the whole story fresh again. It wasn't overwhelmed with battle scenes. They remembered to keep the story balanced.
I'm looking forward to the next installment. IMAX was well worth the additional charge for this movie!
