The purpose of this story is to inspire and free the mind of the viewer. Cloud Atlas does this on multiple levels. Even those who didn't understand it will be affected by it as their minds process it over time. Those who pay attention and understand will have their minds expanded.
Cloud Atlas is also full of beautiful scenes and rich, unique characters and settings. The acting and direction are top-notch! My wife and I will likely watch this movie several times!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
