This was one of the worst remakes I have ever seen. It was a terrible attempt at a kinder, gentler, more pc Judge Dredd who, by the way, is not really the main hero of the movie. The main hero is the softer, psychic female rookie who wants to "make a difference" by ignoring the law and giving out her own brand of social justice.
Cons bad acting, slow
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Well, it had potential, and it wasn't "bad," but it felt more like a fireworks show for some shallow entertainment than a movie with a good plot.
it didn't quite feel like the first three movies, and seemed more like a half-efforted attempt to set up for a grand finale in a fifth. my advice would be to wait for it to come out in the dollar theater.
*Spoiler Alert*
The first 20 minutes were good, and if the rest of the movie had continued like that it would be worth every penny, but the writers shot themselves in the foot after that.
Remember all those Alice clones from the end of Extinction? They all get blown up after the first twenty minutes of good movie.
Remember all the cool powers like extra strength, speed, agility, healing, and telekinesis that the first three movies were building up to? After all the Alice clones were blown up, the main villain (who is basically agent smith from the matrix infected with the T-virus) injects Alice with a serum that takes away all those powers, defeating the whole purpose of movies 2 and 3.
There's also some random Giant zombie thing with a huge hammer/axe weapon that has no explanation of where it came from. apparently this is the "axe man" from the Resident Evil 5 video game, and anybody who hadn't played the game wouldn't know this. Not to mention that anyone who hadn't played the games wouldn't know the stories behind the main villain and the blonde lady in the credits (who's supposed to be Jill Valentine from the second movie and several of the games)
so that's it for you, if they had made it a tv mini-series instead of a movie it might have served its purpose better and actually been a better movie.

Do not waste money on this movie. It was too horrible to even describe.
