The movie is very loosely based on the book and that's being generous. Key characters in the book were completely removed from the movie. Camp Half Blood looked nothing like it was described in the book. I was impressed with how the Lotus Hotel and Casino was portrayed, that was cleverly done. Granted it is tough to accurately turn a great book into a great movie but it appeared that the writers completely gave up on even trying to follow the core plot line. I was highly disappointed in this movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
