First of all...I wasn't expecting an award winning movie. We knew it was going to be one sight gag after another and that was good for us. We laughed and were entertained because the spoofs were so silly. I think it did what it started out to do-which was make fun of the Twilight saga movies. The actress was very much like Bella and did her job of studying the actress well. She had down all the movies and angst. The other characters were good representations, except for the Voltari who were kind of off. It's definitely not for the under 12 set because of the few sexual undertones that were seen. But for a mature 13 year old its ok. Nothing really graphic...a lot of tongues, kissing, implied sex but it was all done with humor. So...go see it and make up your own mind. Its not going to be the greatest movie ever but it sure wasn't the worst I've ever seen!
For all the bad reviews that it got, I was pleasantly surprised that they were proven wrong. Sometimes these critics go into these movies expecting them to be just like the others, especially if they are one of a series. For starters, this movies starts off about 20 years later, its no surprise to me that Indy is older but he is still the same vigorous and exciting man he used to be. He still kicks quite a punch and can hold his own in a fight. The action was non stoppable AND entertaining. I didnt find anything unbelievable about the skulls cause I know the legend of the crystal skull from mayan history. If you like Indiana Jones movies, then you will like this one. Go and see it and dont give a thought to what the critics say. What do they know? Most movies they review badly I like anyway! This one was NO EXCEPTION!!! It was great!
