Took my 10 year old son, and both he and I enjoyed it. I thought it was entertaining, and my son realy liked it a lot. He's looking forward to the second one Roderick Rules coming out sometime in the future. I would reccommend this movie purely because it's a perfect 10 year old's mentality type of movie.

My friend & I took our two kids, both 10 y/o, and we were actually dreading to sit there for this movie...it was so entertaining! The effects were fantastic, everything was exciting yet totally age appropriate without being just for toddlers. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Take the kids. It's well worth paying to see it in 3D. Highly recommend.

I'm new to this Star Trek stuff, but having a 9 y/o and husband who wanted to see it, I tagged along. I loved it! A few parts I feel could have been left out ( the brief adult content it got it's rating from-told my son to cover his eyes), but other than that, we all loved it! My son can't decide if he likes SW or ST better!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
