Neither Carroll's nor Burton's movie

I went to see this movie for three reasons: Great Lewis Carroll story, great Director Tim Burton and wonderful 3D IMAX possibilities. Unfortunately I have got none of them. The original spirit of the story was lost in special effects and unbearable 3D rendering (after seeing Avatar I started warming up to a 3D idea). The beautiful darkness of Tim's previous movies was lost in mediocre performances even by my favorite Johnny. My kids 10 and 12 still liked it. Costumes and CGIs were still very colorful and interestingly made. I felt I wasted my ten bucks for 10 AM movie. See it on Blue Ray.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
