This is a mostly faithful, if necessarily abbreviated, adaptation of the fantastic book. The effects budget is lacking, but everything else is perfect. Coscarelli has proven himself as a very able filmmaker in the past, and he knows how to make a film work within budget constraints. No exception here. Everyone at the theater where I saw this were verbally enthusiastic about the experience. Will definitely be buying this when it is available.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
