I must say that compared to 2, then 1 in that order, this movie ranks with the 1st one. It was however a great movie. The story was incredibly well done, with enough twists and turns and foreshadowing to keep you on edge, including people like me that are die hard Batman fans.
With that said, I was slightly disappointed with the movie. Not with the caliber of actors, or the quality of the movie, I was disappointed because for this fan of the comic, they didn't quite make it dark enough for me. They kept it at PG-13, instead of going with an R rating to allow for the full impact of The Dark Knight and what he had to become to Rise.
And for those below that are wondering how/why Tom Hardy for the role of Bane, should check out the movie Warrior and tell me he's a small guy.
Overall a great movie.
