Holds True to 80s Plots

The movie was okay, and I was scared and jumped several times. However, I felt it kept along the same premise as the 80s flicks in that people still react so ignorantly (aka unrealistically) in horror movies. It was much more about the death and dismemberment than about a plot or storyline. But, it was 3D, and that improves your experience just a bit. Not a waste, but it could have been better.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
