The closest example I can think of is the Matrix. This movie turns everything you know upside down and keeps you thrilled until the very end. Excellent!!

Although it got corny here and there I REALLY enjoyed this movie. From other reviews I read I tried to keep my expectations low. Man, I didn't need to. It was a great action movie. Excellent effects and the story line wasn't all over the place like other "machine" movies (I won't mention names - you know who you are).
I'll be watching it again, and definitely getting the BluRay.

Simply amazing. Beautiful CGI. James Cameron has definitely outdone himself with this story and artwork.
