Does Iron Man soar?

I thought this movie was spectacular! The special effects were done so well that you are allowed to forget that it's CGI and lose yourself in the movie. I thought the casting was amazing too. Downer Jr. provided the arrogant cockiness that is portrayed in the comics. Paltrow was good, as well as Howard, but I thought the best supporting character was Jarvis, voiced by Paul Bettany. Bridges was an excellent choice as well, although it was easy to peg him as a villain early on. The references to the Avengers and War Machine were neat as well, but the real treat for fans was at the end of the credits.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
