It was a beautifully shot movie and I thought the casting was excellent. The acting was also at a pretty high standard (except for the character of Alice), but the pacing was slow and tedious. I also thought the werewolves were pretty cheesy looking. They definitely could have been more realistic. The director remained very faithful to the book, but I don't think this served the movie very well. Overall, I was disappointed and a little bored.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
