I agree that reading the book first fills you in on any skip arounds, but my husband did not read the book and enjoyed the movie very much. The Cullen family was perfectly cast and satisfies the "tension" and intensity along with the like-ability factor necessary to love these characters. I very much enjoyed the film. Robert P. is thoroughly dreamy....

Great Family Movie

Wasn't expecting much. Very pleasantly surprised. It was adorable - very sweet. Heard best scenes were in the trailer. I disagree! My 9-yr-old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Moved at a fast pace, the voice-overs were great. The dogs were priceless. I even found certain scenes very poignant, touching. I look forward to seeing it again.

Don't bother. Teenage boys had foresight and stayed home. Parents learn from the kids again.
