Very disappointing

Just read the book about a month ago. I had high expectations of the movie since the book seemed to contain some outstanding visuals, but I was mostly disappointed. So much of what made the story interesting was taken out of the film. In the book, the drama was highly publicized and the public's perceptions and reactions were a factor. In the film, the public is largely omitted and kept in the dark. The film lost all meaning conveyed from the book. If you were a fan of the book, I suggest you read it again and skip the movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
