Avatar is the most passionate, intelligent, challenging use of special effects technology I have ever seen - it uses these "effects" in the service of a powerful story, about love, the environment, the potential loss we face as a species, and our mission as humans. It's told beautifully - in a way that is really hard to do with words. Only way to really get this movie is to see it, and let yourself be transported by the story and the world created by the artists who envisioned Pandora. Any niggling negative details, are superceded by the huge technical, artistic and humanitarian accomplishment of the rest of the film. I never thought I would say this after seeing a movie made for over $500million but - James Cameron, you are amazing!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
