Great summer fright flick

Overall a decent monster movie. It's a typical Alexandre Aja movie: great tension and often going for the shock factor over trying to make the audience jump, but it definitely retains the original's campy spirit. Skip the 3D version though, this is another spotty aftermarket 3D conversion that looks decent in some shots, and completely non-existent in others.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
