The Bad -Simple, almost infantile storyline with no depth. -Subplots that added nothing to the story. -Unfinished and unexplained subplots. -Decent, but not outstanding effects.
The Good -Kids were charismatic, the adults not so much -The kids amateur movie at the end was the best part.
HUGE disappointment given the 2 hollywood giants responsible for this film
If you're a Thor fan, you'll love it. Amazing effects with a decent story. I felt at times the story dragged a little, but overall a great 2 hours spent.
I live in Boston and never even heard of this boxer before. He's a real life Rocky. Truly an inspirational story. Great acting and believable Boston accents (finally). The acting was all top notch, but Christian Bale's performance was unreal.
Nice movie for the family. Charismatic villain, heroin, and sidekick. Several funny moments for the adults, but not quite the level of Shrek or my favorite Pixar movies. Worth the price of admission.
Disappointing to say the least. I will admit that there were some really funny parts, but the movie had the tendency to drag, especially towards the end. After rave reviews I was expecting a little more. The situation really wasn't too complicated, acting by the 3 stars were solid C performances for them. Meryl Streep was the best of the bunch, but still pretty blah for her.
I'm a hardcore ST next generation fan. I've liked most of the movies. This was a great way of re-introducing the franchise. What impressed me was that they re-imagined the seires AND were able to pay complete respect to the previous series (unlike Battlestar Galactica). My wife who hates most tech movies liked it as well
