Well scripted and cast, this movie propels you through the hardship of three children and their aunt who has lost her way. Impressive songs and acting move the story along. Madea is her typical bad*ss self who plays a supporting role instead of the central character. Well balanced with laughter and tears. I would recommend the film in a heartbeat.
Once more Clint Eastwood has given us a provocative movie of such incredible depth of story, character, and emotion. Each actor thoroughly invested themselves in their performances and drew in the audience to experience firsthand this tale of a mother 's fight to find her son in spite of a corrupt police system. As director, Clint Eastwood is at the top of his form. Angelina Jolie and John Malkovich give stellar Oscar winning performances. This film is a must see.
WANTED is certainly an adrenaline rush that also has major elements of fantasy attached to it. (This film should have a warning statement: please don't try these stunts at home or anywhere!) Reminicent of the MATRIX series, some of the action scenes are clearly mindbending and believable while other segments are too fantastic to even be considered plausible. Accepting the premise of the film is necessary for one to enjoy the movie. Thick with pervasive language, the F-bomb is flung about so freely that it loses its impact and shock value. The MPAA rating which states some sexuality needs to be adjusted to say something a bit stronger in the first few scenes of the film. The MPAA rating summary got the violence factor correct: strong bloody violence throughout!! That said: it is a strong action movie contender for the 2008 summer film offerings.
