Truly excellent set of short films. Henry, revealed from the perspective of an elderly man with dementia, was brilliant. The Oscar winner, Curfew, was compelling and fantastically acted. Both films featuring young boys (Afghan and Somali) were almost unbelievably poignant.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Unusual and beautifully made movie that communicated principally via dance, the medium that Pina Bausch loved. But beware - it's not for everyone. My husband, not a big dance fan under any circumstances, hated it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

except for Kirk, the black hole at the center of this story who apparently didn't want to speak for himself, every character who participated in the film is totally great! And they're real people - the journalists, the ex-Mormon, the pilot, the cloner. And Joyce herself is over the top. We had fun watching them have fun telling their stories.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Following a young female combat vet after her return from Iraq, this powerful film communicates the overwhelming stresses she experiences exclusively through her eyes & words - with NO editorializing. The 2nd film, an exploration of a remarkable Israeli school for refugee children from around the world, is heart-warming - kids who have suffered horribly adapt, learn & get happy, warm & dedicated teachers give their all. No Palestinian children appear to attend this school.
the antithesis of current US action thrillers... this movie ambled along gracefully, was entertainingly convoluted and profound. Lots to talk about afterwards.
