Scorsese took a very long time to tell a very short story. Trailers looked promising, unfortunately the movie did not live up to the trailers.
The "twist" was soooooo predictable. It would rank right up there with The Sixth Sense.
I wish I could get my $21.50 back, but it is long gone.
I would recommend to wait until it hits HBO, Cinemax, TMC etc...
No, I do not recommend this movie.

An engrossing movie. Even though you know instinctively that this movie is a work of fiction, it remains very engaging.
I truly enjoyed this movie.

Not as good as the previous movies. Exceptionally long at 2.56 hours, and most of the action scenes were used during the trailer. Very slow moving, and unfortunately predictable. I am not a fan of the books, haven't read any of them, but my wife has and she felt it wasn't true to the book.
Most folks who've seen the others will want to see this one, and it is entertaining to a certain extent.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I have to say I did like the 1950's version better. That having been said, I enjoyed this film. I definitely would give it almost 5 stars. Keanu was great as Klaatu and GORT was fantastic. It is quite believable that an intergalactic federation bent on saving an irreplaceable commodity would remove the toxin, much like we treat a bacteria (remember, the Universe wastes nothing). And as for the use of force against an alien race, by and large that would probably happen. We are not governed by peace-loving individuals, or perhaps the wars of this planet go unnoticed by the masses. We have a historical tendency to destroy what we don't understand. I thought the film caught the flavor of that very well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not the best movie ever, but certainly not as bad as the reviews I've read here. It does require an acquired taste, mainly lurid graphic novels (many of you are to young to remember the term "pulp fiction"...not the movie, the term). This was pulp fiction at it's finest. Over the top and enjoyable (which is what a movie is meant to be , enjoyable). If you have a problem with "blapshemy", a word tossed around too much these days, then please don't attend. I'm sure that they will be making another adaptation of the Left Behind Series for all of you who subscribe to the Judeo/Christian mythos. As for me, I would definitely see it again and will buy the DVD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

For the audience that this film was obviously made for, it hit the target dead on. I am sure that every female on the planet between the ages of 14 and 45 loved it. The vampire that is conflicted with human emotion and morals, who would be the knight in shining armour is depicted well. And the cinematography captured the mood of the novel very well. That being said, I am more of a purist where the undead are concerned and was disappointed by the film. No fangs, limited blood, very limited blood lust, no feeling of being in the presence of a predator.
Will be interesting to see how the werewolf genre is handled when they truly bring Jacob into the foreground.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
