I had high expectations for this movie given the trailer and the best selling book. What a disappointment. The storyline is long, confusing and keeps the audience on the edge of their seats for what should have been the appropriate ending - the child killer is found out and Susie's parents get their daughters remains. But that doesn't happen in fact I am still not sure what the intended message was at the end of the movie. The special effects were weird, silly and seemed out of context with the movie's dark senseless story. One of the worst movies that I've seen in years. I would not recommend it.
