The effects were brilliant. The characters both real and imagined came to life. I adored the Cheshire Cat. Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter was brilliant. Helena as the Red Queen was a joy to watch. She nailed that character. I marveled at the Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee characters. So round and so expressive. It was said that this might be frightening to children. The children I saw were having an amazing time at this movie. You should probably see it before taking little ones to it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I wasn't sure what to expect. This movie did not follow the stories written about Sherlock Holmes, but it went to new places with the characters and I for one found it to be entertaining and funny! Robert Downey, JR and Jude Law made a captivating duo. Witnessing there character play between them was a joy to watch. I hope there is a sequel as I was left wanting more.
