I did not read the book but I must say this was the type of movie that made you cry and at times made you want to go find the predators and slap the heck out of them. My heart goes out to all the victims who have had to overcome this type of abuse. Ahhh I really can't tell you how important it is for everyone to see it because I think it will open up dialog amongst family and friends in ways you never thought was possible.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
