This was a decent entry into the series. It was appropriately dark for the book, yet removed some of the darker events - I guess to lighten it up some and reduce the time. Will be interesting to see how they manage to deal with the characters who died in the book but not in the movie in the future installments. Maybe this director was trying to create a challenge for the next director?!? Left out a big battle - maybe he ran out of money after the opening sequence needlessly destroying the millennium bridge? oh well, will be interesting to see how they resolve it in the next two movies.

Great story, beautiful film

Very well done film. Beautiful cinematography, competently acted. Fantastic story. One of the best uses of flashbacks/forwards. Keep an eye on the details, they are impeccably crafted and entertaining to watch. Go see this one!
