The 3D and film wizardry makes this a movie worth seeing. The message is also admirable. However it is also a little simplistic and nintendo-ish. I guess the current generation of gamers will feel at home with that aspect. It was an entertaining movie but certainly not the best.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The laptop (Skype?) scene is destined to become a comedic classic. It's hilarious! There were a number of laugh out loud moments. Meryl Streep is always great.
