The movie was dark with some disturbing parts. It did not portray the story characters as I remember them. I would not recommend it for a child under 13. I think Max was portrayed as a child with some deep, underlying problems that should not have been presented in the movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Very cute, funny movie. Both my 13 year old and 16 year old enjoyed it. It was refreshing to see a movie without the foul language and violence.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
