We kept waiting to become engaged in the drama. Didn't happen. Maybe we expected too much after all the hype and reading the book. Loved the book! The movie was like a bullet-point summary of the book. It was predictable (though I had forgotten the details of the story), perfunctory, and rather boring. While Tom Hanks is a favorite of mine, his emotionless presentation of the character got old fast. The whole movie seemed amaturish to me. Nevertheless, having fun exploring past human idiocies and their mysteries is something that always catches my attention. Liked DaVinci code more.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
