Robert Downey Jr. delivers an excellent performance in making the character believable as a regular human being instead of just straight out of a comic book. He gives the character life without which the movie would have been nothing but 2 hours of high tech fantasy.
My whole family enjoyed the movie. Once the movie started, even the noisy loquacious chatter boxes sitting behind me shut up and remained silent until the end of the movie. It was that good.
