First off, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't like this type of movie nor that doesn't like Transformers(TV series) point blank. Aside from the expected tons of special effects (which one would expect if they enjoyed this type of movie or even watched one episode of Transformers) and plot twists, which in my opinion were also expected, I feel like I could've been better bought into this movie IF it had just one element that I feel the movie was really lacking... The flip between Autobots and Decepticons (Icon), that tells you when you were looking at which side? I know it seems really insignificant but I feel like it could've really made this movie even greater than it was.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I was actually happy to see that for once the bad guy actually came out on top! Even though I kind of suspected the good guy never died, it did cause me to wonder "what if..." All in all even though the movie was definitely unbelievable, it had the classic actual "good movie" feel to it that I been missing lately. Great job!
I really liked watching G.I. Joe when I was little

Honestly, I think it was decent for being a Hasbro film (I don't know what's up with the brand now-a-days). However, I also think this would have been better if it was either a two or three part movie. It really seemed like they rushed to slap together the story line and I know ALL of the G.I. Joe fans know this isn't your usual G.I. Joe episode because of this. Also, it would have been much better if it was more along the lines of the actual show with the subtitles like: "Meanwhile" and such. I DID like how they put in the slogan "Knowing is half the battle" but again, it was used at the wrong time. Usually, from what most remember it was at the END of the show but anyways.
First I want to say over-all the storyline sticks and it was decent. I understand it was cut into two movies because of the time issue, that and H'wood wants to stay in business. However, I feel half-hearted about the reasons for doing this and it has dramatically degraded my opinion about an awesome book! Again, the movie was good but I felt there could've been more done to keep this book together (IMO).
I give this movie the classic "two thumbs up!" because I thought it had all the elements of a classic "two thumbs up" movie. Characters were developed appropriately and progressed through the movie and had the basic feel for an all around great movie! Hats off to the characters and definitely those who contributed to such a great family film!
